Last Friday, Cogite had the great pleasure of hosting Richard Bogle, CEO of the Drosos Foundation, for his first visit to Cogite! The Drosos Foundation, which is committed to enabling people in difficult situations to live a life of dignity, is an essential Cogite partner and supported Cogite’s move to the new Cogite Villa this past October.
Upon arrival, Mr. Bogle was welcomed into the main coworking space, where he was introduced to Cogite’s coworkers many of whom were still hard at work despite the late hour! Over the course of the evening, Mr. Bogle had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the coworkers to learn more about their individual projects and the larger impact of Cogite on their work. Additionally, Mr. Bogle spoke with Cogite co-founders, Rym Baouendi and Houssem Aoudi, about Cogite’s many activities and social impact, such as hosting the 2015 Coworking Summit and the Cogite Direction Sud initiative in southern Tunisia. Finally, Mr. Bogle stopped by a Cogite workshop on Process Communication Model to experience Cogite’s role within the larger entrepreneurship community in Tunisia.
Cogite was also honored by the presence of Mr. Noomane Fehri, the Tunisian Minister of Information and Communication Technologies, who joined Mr. Bogle in touring Cogite and speaking to our many interesting members. In addition to learning more about Cogite, and seeing how far the space and community has come in just two years, Minister Fehri also shared his knowledge about the opportunities and challenges of promoting economic innovation in Tunisia.
And of course, in the true spirit of Cogite, there was a healthy mix of fun. During his tour of the villa, Minister Fehri participated in a friendly game of ping-pong with Cogite coworkers, demonstrating that Cogite is not only a place to work, but also a vibrant community.
In the end, we were very excited to show our supporters everything that Cogite is able to do and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future!
